Pupil-to-pupil dialogue

A pupil talking to her peer

I’m on a mission to make the most of pupil-to-pupil dialogue – still an underused learning resource. It can support learning in several ways:

  1. Pupil explanations can bring different nuances that help others understand.

  2. Misconceptions are exposed.

  3. Misconceptions are addressed by other children (“I disagree when you say it should be a comma, because…”).

  4. More children get involved with the learning.

It is worth investing your time in this. Why? Because it can transform learning.
