Rules for a better world

In trios, give your students time to discuss and come up with a rule to make the world a better place. It can be a serious rule or a light-hearted rule.

Randomly pick three of the rules. (You can save the others for another day.)

Ask about each rule: What do you think of this rule?

Then ask: Which is the best rule? Which is the worst? Why?

Facilitate exploratory talk in small groups, or whole-class dialogue, to get students thinking critically and creatively, supporting and challenging each other.
